Left-handed people have to make a lot of compromises in every field. This is primarily because of the amount of limited left-handed people. In fact, the ratio to left-handers to right-handers is 1% in 10%.

This means that roughly only 10% of the total population are left-handers. That majorly contributes to why they are overlooked most of the time.

Almost all the available bowfishing bows on the market are right-handed. Hence, if you’re left-handed, it’s going to be a frustrating and a long process to find your left-handed bowfishing bow.

Since there are only limited left-handed bowfishing kits, we decided to test 8 of the best products. Our main considerations were overall performance, draw length, weight, and price.

We also took their practicality into consideration. Some of them didn’t quite perform spectacularly, but their pricing was very reasonable.

There were also others that were not quite top-notch but were perfect for beginners to get started on a left-handed bowfishing bow.

While some just fell flat in all areas. Hence, we’ve decided only to list out 5 of the best left-handed bowfishing kit/bow.

All the listed products are unique in their own ways. Some of the products are a proper bowfishing kit, and they come with the whole bowfishing set (reel, reel mount, bowfishing arrows, etc.).

While some products just come as a bow without additional bowfishing items. In all the cases, we have only picked those products that give you the best investment value.

AMS Bowfishing Juice Bow Kit 15-50lb

AMS bowfishing bow
Out of all the left-handed bowfishing bows that I tested, this bow stood amongst everyone. It performed brilliantly well in aspects, and I found this to be a near-ideal left-handed bowfishing bow.

It comes to a surprise that it is an AMS product. After all, AMS has successfully created a niche for themselves when it comes to bowfishing bows.

The AMS bow is extremely lightweight weighing only about 3.7 pounds or 1.67 kg. This, in turn, enhances its handling capability.

The AMS left-handed bowfishing bow has the smoothest drawing capability of all the bows that I tested. It offers a draw weight of about 15-50 pounds, and the draw length stretches anywhere between 17 ½-30 inches.

It also allows you to adjust draw length in ½ inches increment without any bow press. This just adds so much convenience and promotes more control over every single shot you take.

It also features Muck Buster line pullers that assist you to retrieve your arrows in case you miss your shot, and it gets stuck. They performed excellently well in retrieving my arrows from mud/muck and weed.

All this comes with a price, though. But, if you’re really serious about bowfishing, you should spend some extra bucks and go for this high-performance bow.

Pros
  • It has excellent built quality
  • Excellent performance
  • Comfortable and superior grip
  • Its looks is just an added bonus
  • Great speed and flexibility
Cons
  • High cost
  • Average string quality

AMS Swampit Left-Handed Bowfishing Bow Pro Kit

Left handed AMS bowfishing kit

Another AMS left-handed bowfishing kit that performed well beyond what I hoped for. You can imagine the Swampit as a smaller and simpler sibling to that of the AMS Juice Bow Kit.

In terms of sheer performance, it doesn’t quite stand up with its bigger sibling, but it still does its job well. Considering that it cost lesser, you will be more than satisfied with its value for money.

Apart from some minor tweaks, it inherits most of its features from the AMS Juice Box Kit. All its components or materials used in its construction are stainless steel and corrosion resistant.

The AMS Swampit comes with a complete bowfishing kit. It includes a Big Fish Bowfishing bow and an AMS Retriever (pro series). The overall built quality of the bow is good and durable, and the added retriever is one of the best in the market.

The draw length ranges from anywhere between 15 – 30 inches, and it features a 20% Let off factor. The draw weight of the bow is between 40-50 lbs, which may sound heavy but it all contributes to its power.

Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Looks great
  • Shorter axle provides more finger pinch
  • Good grip
Cons
  • The bow is quite heavy
  • Little unstable

Cajun Sucker Punch Bowfishing Bow

Cajun Sucker Punch Bowfishing Bow

Cajun is another name that has become synonymous to bowfishing in recent years. They manufacture some of the best bowfishing items that include lights, bow, arrows etc.

The Cajun Sucker Punch is a left-handed bowfishing bow that combines performance and affordability. It performs excellently for its price range. It’s extremely lightweight, and this affects its draw weight too.

It has a draw weight range from 15-50 pounds, which promotes excellent ease and power as well. The draw length ranges from 17-to-31 inches and performs well throughout the entire range.

The overall build quality was beyond how I imagined. With its price tag, the Cajun surprises you in every turn with its quality and performance as well.

The value for money factor, in this case, is just mind-blowing. Sure, it may not be on par with the higher priced AMS left-handed bowfishing bows, but the difference in their pricing is worlds apart.

The CAJUN Sucker Punch will easily do its job without having to deal with “cheap” quality feel. The Cajun Sucker Punch comes with bow alone in its packaging.

But there is a different variant of the same model where you can get the whole bowfishing kit along with the bow. The one that comes with the whole kit is the “Cajun Sucker Punch Bow Package Ready to Fish (RTF).”

Pros
  • Excellent value for money
  • Solid build quality
  • Adjustable draw weights
  • Superior bow power
  • Lightweight
Cons
  • Average finger pinch factor
  • No instruction manual

Fin-Finder Left-Handed Bow With Heavy Duty Drum Reel

Fin-Finder Left-Handed Bow

The Fin-Finder Sand Shark Recurve bow takes you back to basics. It’s not fancy or flashy in terms of its looks, and it resembles a traditional hunting bow.

But in terms of performance, it’s better and quicker than some of the higher priced bowfishing bows. It is completely ideal for handling heavy-duty bowfishing due to its excellent quality and additional components.

It is extremely lightweight and easier to handle due to its simple design as well. The bow is easy to assemble featuring a three-piece takedown design.

It also comes with an extremely powerful and durable Dacron Strings that promotes more power and speed.

The Fun-Finder is especially ideal for those who are searching for a budget left-handed bowfishing bow. Its price to performance ratio is astonishing, to say the least, and in most cases, it will do its job effortlessly.

In fact, the Fin-Finder Sand Shark holds a unique record of catching a record-breaking “Bigmouth Buffalo” with it. The enormous fish weighed about 62 pounds and 43 inches in length.

Now, that’s something that even higher priced fancy bowfishing bow would struggle to deliver.

Pros
  • Best budget left-handed bow
  • Simple design
  • Water-resistant finish
  • Includes additional high-quality components in its packaging
  • Smooth draw mechanism
Cons
  • Less adjustment mechanism
  • Suitable for beginners only

AMS Left-Landed Bowfishing Kit

Left handed bowfishing kit

As you probably notice, this is not bowfishing bow. It is rather a bowfishing kit that you can add to your already existing left-handed bowfishing bow.

The AMS kit is of excellent quality, and each component is of premium quality. You can be ensured that the kits will perform to your expectations.

The AMS Bowfishing Kit includes a Tournament Series Retriever. The strings attached are also of premium quality (350 lb Dacron line).

The package also includes an extended handle for more torque. If you already have a bow, this is an excellent option. The only thing missing here is a set of bowfishing arrows.

Pros
  • Premium quality components
  • Excellent value for money
  • The mount is durable
  • It includes a quick detaching mount
Cons
  • Arrows not included
  • May not be suitable for every bow

Already have a bow?

Most of the bowfishing bow available online or in local stores only comes with a bow. This is precisely why you would need a left-handed bowfishing kit to go along with it.

The most bowfishing kit usually comes with an arrow, reel, and reel mount. These components are perfect for adding to your already existing bowfishing bows.

The best way you can approach this is by purchasing a budget bowfishing bow and buying an additional kit to compliment your bow.

Also, most of the left-handed kits have poor quality components apart from the bow. Instead of investing extra bucks to purchase a bowfishing kit, you can purchase only a bow for the reasonable price.

You can then buy additional bowfishing kits of high quality to experience a better bowfishing quest.

Final thoughts

Buying a left-handed bowfishing kit can turn out to be an easier process than I originally thought. There are only some few products so make sure you consider all the crucial factors.

Some products only come with bow and others with all the additional kits. So make sure you’re getting the best product for your money’s worth.

Also, take their draw weight and draw length into consideration before purchasing any left-handed bowfishing kit/bow.
